Beau's Week 3 - June 25th, 2017

We are gearing up for another fantastic fun filled week! With Fourth of July celebrations happening this weekend, I am throwing in some arts and crafts to go with that. Here are our Surprise Time bins for this week:

 1. Lego Duplo Superheros (Beau has a ton of Lego Duplos. I went through and pulled all of his super hero sets out to make a super hero bin. I'm sure it will be out of this world!)

2. Games (Go Fish!, Old Maid, Blink!, Trouble, Jenga). I realize this will not be an independent bin for him, but he loves playing games so I wanted to incorporate them in to our daily routine. I forget to pull them out a lot of times so this will keep me in check to play games with my boy!)

3. Number Play-Doh Mats (Found on Life Over C's)

4. Firefighter Bin (To go with our 'red' theme this month, we are visiting a firehouse. So of course I had to pull all of the fire fighter things we have and put what could fit in the bin! Do you see the Lego Duplo set in there?!?)

5. Trains! I pulled enough tracks and engines to make a small playset.

Here are our tentative plans for the week:

Sunday

• "The Friend of little children" (Matthew 18, 19, Mark 10, Luke) from The Jesus Storybook Bible 
  
• Sing the song "Jesus Loves the Little Children" and similar songs on Spotify.
• Itsy Bitsy spider book and puppet show! (Hand glove and felt pieces found at Lakeshore Learning.) 
  
  
  
• Act out Itsy Bitsy spider using fridge magnets. Download a copy here! Just add magnets!  

Monday

• Read "Guess How Much I Love You" by Sam McBratney then play Hide the Rabbits.

• Watch "All Things Animals TV:  Rabbit" on You Tube
• Go over our rabbit poem (By Teaching Mama.)

Tuesday

• Visit the Houston Fire Museum (pictures coming soon!)
• Water color stars for Fourth of July

Wednesday

• Sing "God Made Me" song on Spotify.
• Use a white crayon to write on a heart: 'God loves Beau' and on the flipped side write 'Beau loves God.' Have him water color the heart to see the message. Hang on display.
• Statue of Liberty decorations (pictures coming soon!)

Thursday

• Visit our local library for a reading group
• Make heart and rabbit red jello!

Friday

• Remove the rabbit and red card from our calendar. Add the rabbit to the train car and red to our alphabet wall (Pictures coming soon!)
• Read "A Color of His Own" by Leo Lionni.
• Make Statue of Liberty crowns (Pictures coming soon!)

Saturday

• Watch "American Symbols" video on Brain Pop Jr. (This video is free to watch for a limited time only. Membership to this website is required to view their other videos that are not marked 'Free.'
• Make Fourth of July noise makers!! (Pictures coming soon!)
• Celebrate America!
